Aka Wednesday 27th February 2019
Today I walked a total of 5.68km (3.53 miles), which took 1
hour 14 minutes and 13 seconds and burnt through 632 calories and took 7,831
steps…
…did more prep for (and had a bit of a worry about) tomorrow’s interview and I received a
rejection, due to many applicants applying, which meant that the pass mark for
getting to the interview stage was raised and I didn’t pass that new mark, and
an invitation to interview for a Public Health England post in early March…
…and I did the G2 Crossword:
…which goes even further downhill, as I need to cheat on
five twelfths of the clues (ten out of 24), I just couldn’t get a lot of the
answers out, probably because I was feeling a little under the weather, and the
one’s I did, it was a real grind. But I did learn that ‘Nicosia’ is the
‘European Union’s most southerly capital’, that a ‘(Spanish) chaperone’ is a
‘duenna’ and that a ‘castrated chicken’ is a ‘capon’, let’s hope tomorrow’s
crossword goes a little better!
