Aka Friday 15th February 2019
Today I walked a total of 6.88km (4.28 miles) in 1 hour 40
minutes and 57 seconds, which burnt through 832 calories and took 10,191 steps…
…had my second Universal Credit/Work Coach interview, I’m
doing everything that I should be and I left with some possible jobs, at
Southend Airport, to follow up…and I got invited to interview (on Thurs 28th
Feb) for the post of 'FOI Officer’…so spent a couple of hours doing some prep
for it…
…and I read ‘Criminal’ #2, the first part of a two-parter
focusing on Jacob, an ex-comicbook artist, who has been asked to look after Hal
Crane, a famous comicbook artist who will be getting a lifetime achievement
award. Except that getting the award is the last thing on Hal’s mind! Ed
Brubaker, Sean Phillips and Jacob Phillips are at the top of their game
producing a very enjoyable issue/story, that draws you in and time disappears,
and you’re carried along until the issue ends and you’re left wanting more. And
then you remember that there is more and tear through the letters page and Kim
Morgan’s article (this issue’s article is about the film ‘Angels With Dirty Faces’) and then you back to wanting more 😉. 9/10.
…and I did the G2 Crossword:
…which goes nearly twice as worse as yesterday’s crossword,
as I had to cheat on nearly a sixth of the clues (four out of 26). I should
have gotten ‘come clean’ and ‘whitewash’, but the little grey cells couldn’t
get there, but I did learn that an ‘Italian restaurant’ is a ‘trattoria’ and
that ‘cony’ is another word for ‘rabbit’ (I was stuck thinking of the Chas ’n’
Dave song and words for talking!).
