Aka Thursday 20^th December 2018

…worked on and finished a new job application, not entirely happy with the Communicating and Influencing section, but let’s see what the feedback is…

…felt very knackered for most of the day and spent most of the morning and afternoon half awake/asleep…

…read some comics:

‘Firefly’ #2 and ‘William Gibson's Alien 3’ #2, as second issues and with the introductions to characters and worlds out of the way, both comics are free to spend a bit of time fleshing out their words, setting out who the characters are and their motivations and setting up the dominos for falling in subsequent issues. Both are 8/10.

In ‘Cemetery Beach’ #4 we delve deeper into the new world/outpost and see more of its inhabitants. Plus there’s lots of action and shooting/explosions. 8/10. 

…and I did the G2 Crossword:

…which went better than the last few days, maybe as the interview is done and dusted, and I only needed to cheat on an eighth of the clues (three out of 23) and I learnt that another word for a ‘skinflint’ is a ‘niggard’ (which also seems really verging on being ultra-racist for a Guardian crossword!).
