…did more prep for Wednesday’s interview…
…got this month’s ‘Mojo’ magazine, which has an interesting
interview with Noel Gallagher (who seems to have finally given up on sticking
to his tired and tested song writing formula and seems to be moving into a more
experimental approach (well more experimental compared to his previous work,
not experimental like going all Aphex Twin)), a retrospective on ‘Performance’, loads of reviews and an interesting looking CD...
…and I did the G2 Crossword:
…and which went a little worse than yesterday, with needing
to cheat on six of the 21 clues, mostly due to my blind spots of geography and
foreign languages. I learnt that ‘Aden’ is a ‘Yemeni port’, ‘chemin de Fer’
means ‘French railway’, ‘Albania’ is a ‘Balkan country’ and ‘gamp’ is another
word for ‘umbrella’. Lots of learning today.
