Aka Tuesday 5th February 2019
Went for a morning constitutional, aka my long walk to get
the newspaper, and managed to walk 8.84km (5.49 miles), in 1 hour 42 minutes
and 27 seconds, which burnt through 954 calories and took 11,356 steps…
…finished and submitted application for a HEO post in Department
for Education, so fingers crossed…
…and I did the G2 Crossword:
…which dips down a tad as I have to cheat on a quarter of
the clues (five out of 21), so a kinda average crossword day, but I did learn
that ‘Cassis’ is a ‘sweet blackcurrant liqueur’, that ‘Rialto’ is a ‘old
mercantile area of Venice’ and that ‘Betel Nut’ is a ‘seed of a palm chewed
(with its leaves) as a narcotic’.
