Day 722

Aka Tuesday 22nd January 2019

Back to my morning exercise walk (I walked a total of 9.67km (or 6.01miles) in 1hour 54minutes and 47seconds, which took 12,593 steps and burnt 1,000 calories) and the rising sun gave the sky a wonderful hazing red glow…

…and I finally watched ‘Escape Room’. I tried to watch it the other week but got bored after ten minutes, but decided to give it a second chance and it’s okay but is basically a sub-par ‘Saw’ movie, with no real surprises in the traps/deaths and the characters are barely developed, so you don’t really care about them. 4/10.

…and I did the G2 Crossword:

…which goes pretty much downhill as I had to cheat on two fifths of the clues (ten out of 25). The answers just wouldn’t come to me, like I got as far as ‘teleprompter’ but couldn’t get over the hump to the answer of ‘autocue’, maybe it was because I was in a black mood and it kept the little grey cells from working? Although I’d argue that ‘group of words forming part of a sentence’ is not the best clue for ‘phrase’. But I did learn that ‘mellifluous’ means ‘sweet-sounding’, that ‘Isere’ is a ‘river and department of South-East France’, ‘parvenu’ is another word for ‘nouveau riche’ and that ‘repeated prayers’ are ‘Litany’.
