Popped a pile (it’s a glamorous life and be thankful that there are no pictures to share!!!) this morning so had
to go to the GPs to get it looked at and got a prescription for suppositories and
cream, which cost me the best part of £20 and reminded me of the bit in Trainspotting
when Renton buys the opiate suppositories and says “Oh, yeah, for all the good
they've done me, I might as well have stuck them up my arse!”.
I also did the G2 crossword:
…and watched ‘A Few Good Men’, admittedly I got it for Jack Nicholson’s
performance, he just radiates “…I’m having so much fun chewing this scenery…”.
The story, Tom Cruise and Demi Moore are defending two marines accused of
murder, is a little cheesy in places and pushes the “…the military are great
and any problems are down to an odd rotten apple…” a tad to much in places, but
it’s a fun and engrossing film to watch with great actors giving great
performances, and it also ends on a weird note. The two marines are cleared of
murder, but found guilty of misconduct and are dishonourably discharged, which given
that being marines is all they wanted, a very down ending.
