Day 1153


Aka Tuesday 24th March 2020

Did some actual working from home today, started at 6.30am, which meant I was finished by 2.30pm. It was a bit weird just having one screen to work on and having to use the mousepad and not a proper mouse. And after work was done for the day I pottered about, did some exercise, watched some news, check twitter, texted with friends…


…today was also the day it was announced that Albert Uderzo, Asterix’s co-creator, had passed away. Asterix (along with Tintin) is one of the first things I can remember reading and enjoying and started a love of comics that has lasted my entire life. And Asterix is so good, a proper all-ages comic, enjoyable by all, with more humour and satirism being revealed as you re-read as youngster, as a teenager, as a young adult, as a grown up, etc. The above picture was created by Bill Sienkiewicz.

…and I did today’s G2 Crossword (the first of the lockdown):


…which keeps up the positive vibe, only having to cheat on an eighth of the clues (three out of 24). The rest of the clues were straight forward for the little grey cells to plough through.
