Day 1149

Aka Friday 20th March 2020

Had the fourth Long Walk of the week:

…and when I got home the postman had deliver ‘House of Sweets:

...a comic (written by Fraser Campbell, art by Iain Laurie, colour art by David B. Cooper and lettering by Colin Bell), which is about:

“Hans is a novelist, struggling to complete his latest work. His sister Retha is looking to reassess her life after the end of a long term relationship. Seeking space and perspective, they travel to the forest and the old cabin they used to vacation in as children. However once there, things quickly take a sinister turn. Hans finds passages in his book he has no memory of writing while Retha becomes increasingly drawn to a mysterious presence in the woods. As time passes, their behaviour becomes erratic as both siblings appear unable to escape their own stifling obsessions. What is causing these odd transformations? Is it the isolation? Or has the forest drawn them back for a reason?”

…and I’m looking forward to reading it…

…I also ate an entire pack of cherry bakewell flavoured chocolate digestives, it’s an odd flavour combination, not exactly enjoyable, but one that is very moreish…

…and I did today’s G2 Crossword:

…which went just as well as yesterday’s crossword, with only having to cheat on one of the 22 clues. The little grey cells just munched through the clues, spewing out answers…except for 2 down ‘poet who wrote To His Coy Mistress’, who was/is ‘Andrew Marvell’, who wiki describes as “an English metaphysical poet, satirist and politician” and “To His…” as  “a Cavalier poem” and  “one of Marvell's finest and is possibly the best recognized carpe diem poem in English”…
