I decided not to stay up and watch the election results, as it would have depressed me if the exit poll turned out to be wrong and the Tories got their 100+ landslide, at least in the morning it’s all done and dusted.
Except it wasn’t, Labour did much better than expected and the Tories did much worse and no-one won a Parly majority and there was lots of talk about who could form a collation and what this meant for manifesto promises. So instead of being finished the election is still ongoing (with the threat/promise of another general election in October).
I was meant to be going into London to meet up with friends for a PDP (Pay Day Pint) and to see the Wonder Woman film, but my new prescription wasn’t working and has made my vertigo feel much worse, so I had to cancel and will be going back to my GP on Monday to go back onto my old prescription (or a new one).
I also read Loose Ends:
I got the first issue in 2011 (published by 12 Gauge Comics) and, as it’s a four-issue
miniseries, I wouldn’t read it until I got all four issues and would read it as
a whole. Except the fourth issue was never published! Until Image republished
the first three issues and published the fourth. The story is a great modern-noir crime story following the
tangled lives of small town friends, dodgy cops and army buddies. And the art
is great and takes some unusual panel set-up’s, colours and designs which enhance
the story (although sometimes the story is a little hard to following at a
couple of points).
One thing I did prefer about the 12 Gauge Comics versions is that the comics were slightly larger and showed the artwork off a bit better.
