Day 704


Aka Friday 4th January 2019

No exercise wall today as my feet are barking aka aching like no-one’s business, so I’m going to give them a bit of a rest for today and get back to it tomorrow…

…I also accepted an interview for the Health and Wellbing Co-ordinator post at Basildon Hospital and did some initial prep work for it. Later on I was contacted by Badenoch & Clark about posts in the DEFRA EU EXIT Support Team, so I sent them my CV and confirmed that I am interested in the posts. I was also contacted by Reed and have confirmed that I am looking for working and sent them my CV…so things are looking promising…

…and I did the G2 Crossword:


… and the dip continues as I need to cheat on a little over a quarter of the clues (six out of 26) today, but I did learn that the ‘professional first names of Ferdinand Joseph LaMenthe Morton, d. 1941’ are ‘Jelly Roll’ and that he was a ‘ragtime and early jazz pianist’ (thanks Wiki), that ‘Salaam’ is an ‘Arabic salutation’ and that ‘funicular’ relates to a ‘cable railway’.
