…worked on a new personal statement for a new job
application…I’ve got an allotted 1,000 words and currently my draft has 1,058
words!...now it has 1,069 words!...now it has 1,008 words, so close, but what
‘fat’ is left to trim?!?...success, I’ve now gotten it down to 999 words, so
I’m going to save it, get some sleep, review the draft tomorrow morning with
fresh eyes and submit it…
…and I did the G2 Crossword:
…whooooo!, we’re back in the sunny uplands of almost, almost
getting a perfect score of zero cheating. I just had to cheat on one of the
nineteen clues, and that one answer I didn’t get, I did get two thirds of it.
The clue was ‘seasickness’ with the answer ‘mal de mer’ and I had ‘xax de mer’,
which I half remembered from the Albert Finney ‘Murder on the Orient Express’,
I just couldn’t remember the first word!
