Day 644

Aka Monday 5^th November 2018 

I had a little walk today, 4.56km in 67minutes and burnt 537 calories, which is better than a poke in the eye and just after I got back home my Piccadilly Records order arrived:

...a twelve inch of four cuts from Justin Unabomber (who used to co-run the legendary Electric Chair) and a twelve inch of chilled/slow-mo tunes from SnP 500, with an odd insert...

…still feeling a little ‘out of it’ and didn’t do much job searching, but because it was Guy Fawkes Night I did watch ‘V for Vendetta’…

…which is a weird film, at points it really catches the essence of the comic book series (‘V For Vendetta’ is a ‘80’s comic book series by Alan Moore and David Lloyd and it is one of the most best comics from the ‘80’s), such as Valerie’s story, the look of V, the Shadow Gallery and the Wider World, the Larkhill flashback and the “…ideas are bulletproof’ section. But then there are points where is completely misses the feel of the comic book, which I think are mainly down to changing the thrust of the story from ‘anarchism vs. fascism’ to ‘democracy vs fascism’ and including a conspiracy being behind Norsefire coming to power, rather than fear and hatred. 6/10.

…and I did the G2 Crossword:

…which got the week off to a great start as I only needed to cheat on two of the 21 clues, I couldn’t get ‘bitchy’ from ‘spiteful’ and I didn’t know that ‘John Bunyan’ was the ‘author of The Pilgrim’s Progress’, but for the rest the clues the answers just flowed like wine at a bacchanalian feast.
