Today was New Comic Book Day, so I went into town and got
these beauties:
I also re-started to read Bridget Christie’s A Book For Her, which I had started ages ago, but
it got lost amongst all my other books, comics, magazines, DVDs, TV, etc., but
so far it’s a great read, Funny, but
poignant and plenty of points that make you stop and think. For example, many
women’s issues are actually men’s issues, e.g. domestic violence often focuses
on what happens to the woman after the violence and not on stopping the violence
in the first place (this isn’t to denigrate or ignore domestic violence carried
out by women, it’s just that more men than women carry out domestic violence).
I also picked up Kong: Skull Island, from the reviews I’m
not expecting a masterpiece, but it should be fun:
