Day 606

Aka Friday 28th September 

Again, a bit of nothing day. I went into town, which meant that I walked 3.62km and burnt off 438 calories, did a bit of food shopping and brought a T-Rex compilation when I was in Town:

…I’ve always liked the big T-Rex hits and this comp was only £5.99, so I thought it would cost the same to buy just the big hits from an online retailer, this way I get the hits and can explore some of the deeper cuts. 

…and I brought the D.R. & Quinch 2000AD Partwork, D.R. & Quinch are one of the first comic characters/strips that I can remember reading and it’ll be interesting to read the backmatter to get more history on the characters/strip. Also, the book includes Skizz, which I’ve never read before, but it’s early Alan Moore, so should be good.

…and I did the G2 crossword…

…which went a smidge better than Thursday’s, with only needing to cheat on a sixth of the clues (four out of 23), slightly annoyed that I went with ‘housefly’ for 23 across (the answer was ‘horsefly’), forgot about ‘L-dopa’ and that I didn’t get ‘twitch’ from ‘tic’, but I did learn that ‘Riyadh’ is the capital of Saudi Arabia’.
