Day 605

Aka Thursday 27th September

A bit of a nothing day today, lots of pottering about and doing stuff, but nothing particularly memorable, but I did whittle my shortlist of seven possible jobs I could apply for down to three jobs I want to apply for, either due to having to travel to far or being boring, and I did the G2 crossword…

…which went a tad better that Wednesday’s crossword, with cheating on only a fifth of the clues (five out of 23), buy I did learn that (a) another word for ‘accuse of a wrong’ is ‘arraign’, (b) thraldom’ is another word for ‘servitude’, and (c) ‘howdah’ is a ‘seat for passengers on the back of an elephant’. Slightly annoyed that I completely forgot about windsurfing for 11 across and that I read ‘citified’ as ‘certified’ for 19 down.
