Day 1067

Aka Tuesday 31st December 2019

…had a cheeky quick drink after work, which turned into a few cheeky drinks, including a few Jager bombs…I only stayed till half seven, but 15 minutes after leaving the alcohol/Jager bombs hit me and made me feel all woozy, and not in a good way! Like having a hangover and flu come on in a few minutes and hang around for the next few days. I will not be drinking Jager again!!!

…as a comfort I made myself some cheese rolls, using a delicious  M&S Cornish cruncher (strength 7) and watched ‘Fight Club’, one of my go to NYE films, something about facing your problems/issues head on and not relying on someone else (as that can lead to a whole new barrel of problems) appeals to me…it was going to be a double-bill with ‘Donnie Darko’, but I was too tired for two films…

…and I did today’s G2 Crossword:

…which went in the opposite direction compared to yesterday’s grid and I only had to cheat on an eighth of the clues (three out of 24). Hopefully this means that the little grey cells are back on track and I learnt that ‘nankeen’ is a ‘hard-wearing fabric, originally from China’ and that to ‘cut capers’ means to ‘frolic’ and isn’t a reference to what capers, the food, are called after they have been cut…
