Day 820

Aka Tuesday 30^th April 2019

As I’m at home today, as there is no work for me to do today (but they will be tomorrow) I had plenty of time for a long walk along the Thames Delta:

…during which I walked 10.66km (or 6.62 miles) in 2 hours, 5 minutes and 33 seconds, which burnt 1,000 calories and took 13,824 steps.

…and when I got home, I did the G2 Crossword:

…which went okay, although I had to cheat on a fifth of the clues (four out of 21), although that’s half due to my lack of history knowledge, otherwise I probably would have known that ‘Parr’ was a wife of Henry VIII and that ‘Edouard Manet’ was the ‘painter of A Bar at the Folies-Bergere, d. 1883’. And half due to not getting ‘desertion’ from ‘abandonment’, which I should have gotten, and going for ‘psalm’ and not ‘paean’ from the clue ‘hymn of praise’.
