Days 456 - 486

During the month of May I did stuff that included:

1. Adding to my Ghostbusters collection:

2. Brought and listened to a lot of music:

3. Brought some DVDs:

4. Brought a lot of great comics:

5. Finished reading Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty’s ‘2023: A Trilogy by the Justified Ancients of Mu Mu’, and it’s an odd read. It is a complete story, but when it finishes it doesn’t feel like an end, rather you’re invited to continue the story yourself. There are also the links to the real world, like references to Drums of Death being Tangerine Nightmare’s manager, which kinda make you wonder if Bill, Jimmy and Drums of Death might be cooking up some music or maybe it’s just that Drums of Death make-up is very similar to Badger Kull. Possibly more impressive is that ‘2023’, along with the ‘WelcomeTo The Dark Ages’ event have inspired people to be creative and to put their work out into the public, such as the ‘Between The Click And the Bang’ fanzine.

6. I read an article in the Guardian about anxiety, which referenced a study that found that magnesium helped to relieve mild to moderate symptoms of anxiety. So, I popped to Holland & Barrett, picked up some magnesium citrate and started taking them and so far, they seem to be working (or at least there’s a placebo effect), so I’m going to continue taking them.

7. Got a copy of the NME where there established the musical genre of ‘Skunk Rock’, more on this to come later/in another post.

8. Spent way too long during Windows 10 updates, nearly 24 hours all in, installing for hours only to be told that there is insufficient space to complete the update, so I spend ages freeing up space, re-installing, only to be told insufficient space. I only got the update to work when I attached a 1Gb external hard drive, even then it took a couple of hours.
