Day 153

Still stopped taking my prescription and I feel a little better. It’s more a background feeling where I feel shaky, tired and on the verge of having a ‘panic attack’/fit, but can just about do my foodshopping, get my morning paper and other tasks, but unable to just go out for a stroll.

I did read the latest issues of Bankshot and Throwaways:

Bankshot #1 – is about Marcus King, described as either a “modern-day Robin Hood or terrorist” and in the first issue we get a glimpse of why the authorities are afraid of him and learn about what happened in his past to make him who he is today. There’s plenty of action and setting up the story for the rest of the series, but not as much emotional depth as I’d expected from previous Alex de Campi stories, although I assume that’s just because it’s the first issue of a miniseries and we’ll get this in future issues (along with more action and one-liners).

Throwaways #9 –  is about a US military unit which takes individuals with advanced skills or special abilities, e.g. telekinesis, and turns them into useful assets, and people escaping from the unit or trying to expose/close down/take revenge against the unit. There is plenty of action and tense scenes in this issue and the story moves on and escalates, but the art is a little bit confusing at times, e.g. at one point it looks like the wrong person has been drawn or the speech bubble is going to the wrong person and the execution of one of the action scenes was a little off and looked for two dimensional and you don’t get a sense of where the people are in the space.
