Day 152

My first full day of not taking my prescription and I feel a little better (like 5%), but maybe I would have felt a little better anyway or maybe it’s a placebo-type effect?

During the day, I read the latest Rick and Morty, Bitch Planet Triple Feature and Bug! The Adventures Of Forager comics. Quick reviews:

Rick and Morty #27 – as good as the TV show. This issue is centred around Morty going to the school dance and these are some of my favourite lines:

Bitch Planet Triple Feature #1 – tells three stories in the Bitch Planet universe, but it is a bit odd as although the stories are well written, drawn, coloured and lettered, they feel a little bit like side-dishes/DVD extras to the main story in Bitch Planet (although they address some very serious issues), but I guess that assumes that we won’t see any of the characters crossover:

Bug! The Adventures Of Forager #2 – continues Bugs adventures as he tackles General Electric and tries to “save the multiverse”. My favourite bits are the screwball/Abbott & Costello-like comedy and the sound effects:

I also listened to La Torre Ibiza Volumen Dos, which is a great Balearic compilation, perfect for a sunny afternoon on the patio/beach, with a drink or two and some snacks/tapas. I think my favourite track is Mark Barrott’s ‘What About Now? (Storm Clouds Over Cap Negret)’, a great chill-out/Balearic track.

And watched Trading Places, which is still funny (although some of the comedy is a little ‘off’, e.g. when Dan Aykroyd blacks up) and Don’t Breathe, a great little horror/thriller film, about a trio breaking into a blind man’s house to rob him, but it all goes wrong for them.
