I had a day off work today, partially to get a crown
fitting, but mostly to just take a breather/long weekend. It also meant that I
was able to go for a Long Walk (a penance for the joy of a day off!):
…and I was glad to see that I was still able to overcome my
two foes:
...the foot bridge over the train lines and the steps down to the beach.
For some reason these two trigger my anxiety (maybe because they make me feel
exposed and vulnerable?) and in the past it has gotten so bad that I have had
to avoid them, which is a ridiculous thing to have to do. But the more I
purposefully use them and “beat” them the more I learn to cope with the
anxiety. Thanks CBT!
…and I did today’s
G2 Crossword:
…which got the week off to an okay, average start. Most of
the clues were straight forward after the little grey cells had chewed them
over, and I only had to cheat on a fifth (or so) of the clues (five out of 23,
which give me an Illuminati score). So, swings and roundabouts. I should have
gotten ‘bailiff’ from ‘landlord’s agent’, but I was thinking about whoever it
is that organises things at the start of the tenancy, the letting agent?, and
not about the end of an tenancy. And ‘crescendo’ and ‘delete’ just evaded the
little grey cells, but I have learnt that ‘silage’ is ‘partially fermented
fodder’ and that a ‘melange’ is an ‘assortment’…
