Aka Thursday 3rd January 2019
Today I had my second Universal Credit work search interview,
which went well. I talked about how I felt the recent job interviews had gone
and what lessons I’d learnt from them and I’m doing what I should be doing to
find a job and that, when in interviews, I should remember to say ‘I’ and not ‘we’…
…I got my New Comic Book Day haul:
…and brought a copy of Primal Scream’s ‘Rocks’ single and ‘Guerrilla: The Taking Of Patty Hearst’…
…’Rocks’ is a great single, all glam nonsense and fun, and the
B-sides, ‘Funky Jam (Hot Ass Mix)’ and ‘Funky Jam (Club Mix)’ are funky and groovy
as heck…and I've heard good things about 'Guerrilla...'...
…and today I walked a total of 8.67km (or 5.39miles) in 2hour
30minutes and 12seconds, which took 14,613 steps and burnt 1,114 calories.
…back home I watched ‘Rings’, a sequel/capstone to the
American remakes of the ‘Ring’ films and isn’t a bad scary film, it’s got a
good story and cast, is well directed, set dressed, costumes, etc., but by
explaining the ‘magic’ behind the tape and who the girl is, the film kinda
loses some of the horror/scares that the other films have. 6/10.
…and I did the G2 Crossword:
… and we have a little dip compared to yesterday’s crossword
as I had to cheat on a little over a fifth of the clues (four out of 22), I
just had a mental block on ‘bestowed’, ‘dress’ and ‘smut’, but I did learn that
‘Tashkent’ is an ‘Uzbek city on the old Silk Road’…
…and I did the Metro and Evening Standard’s crosswords (and
other quizzes):
