Aka Monday 28th January 2019
Today I did more prep for Wednesday’s interviews…
…and I walked 5.96km (3.70 miles) in 1 hour 18 minutes and
26 seconds, which burnt through 665 calories and took 8, 253 steps…
…and I did the G2 Crossword:
…and today’s crossword gets us off to a
good start as I only had to cheat on an eight of the clues (three out of 24).
It did take a few minutes to get my brain in gear, at first, I only got a
couple of answers, but once in gear the answer flowed like honey on a hot,
sunny day. And I learnt that a ‘marimba’ is a ‘xylophone-like instrument from
Africa’, that a ‘four-wheeled horse-drawn carriage’ is called a ‘landau’ and
that a ‘beachcomber’ is a ‘vagrant living by the sea’ (which I thought was just
someone who picked up useful things from the beach).
