Day 701

Aka Tuesday 1^st January 2019

…re-started (or more accurately re-re-re-re-restarted) my exercise walks today, although it wasn’t a full exercise walk, I’m easing myself back into it. Anyway, today I walked 6.89km (or 4.28miles) in 1hour 21minutes and 53seconds, which took 8,980 steps and burnt 746 calories. Then I did some weights at home. Here are some pictures from my walk:

…I also watched ‘211’, which is an ok film (6/10), but it feels like it hasn’t fully done it’s research, as the behaviour of the cops in some scenes isn’t believable’ like they haven’t had any training, and the ending feels very tacked on, almost like it was missing an ending and they had to CGI an ending, and perhaps worst of all, Nicolas Cage doesn’t get a chance to properly go full-on-Nic-Cage, and ‘Acts Of Vengeance’, which is in the vein of ‘Death Wish’ and has a good cast, but kinda falls down in the execution and feels a bit half-hearted and lacking in pace (6/10)…

…and I did the G2 Crossword:

…and there’s a slight improvement over yesterday’s crossword as I only needed to cheat on a sixth of the clues (four out of 25). I was just let down a tad by my poor geography knowledge (‘Firenze’ from ‘Florence, for Italians’) and going for ‘gather’ rather than ‘linger’, but not bad all things considered. And the answers aren’t making me worried for the setter like last week’s answers were.
