Day 526

While on my morning walk I came across some drug paraphernalia, aka whippets, proving that even sunny Chalkwell has a dark seedy side:

…anyway, here’s some nicer pics from my walk:

…when I got back from my walk and did the crossword:

…and these arrived in the post:

...Hourly Comic Day 2017 and House Party by Rachael Smith, who does a great job in portraying real life and it’s struggles in an entertaining way. Hourly Comic Day 2017 is a day in her life as a cartoonist/comic book maker, the ups and downs, the fun and the dullness/repetitiveness., while House Party is about three friends moving from being carefree students to "proper" grown-ups, with all the responsibilities that work, rent and life bring. Ms Smith does a great job in conveying the worries and joy of being a twenty-something (and brought back a ton of memories from my own twenties) and demonstrates why you should always have a house party at someone else’s house :)!

In summary, Rachael Smith is a great writer and artist and you should get her work.
