Day 2972

Aka Wednesday 11th January 2023

I was feeling better when I woke this morning, so I went for a third exercise/morning walk before WFH:

…and the app was mostly working this time and it tells me that I did 2.12km in 47 minutes and 41 seconds, which took 4,189 steps and burnt 259 calories…then I picked up my paper, I also got the latest ‘Lego Star Wars’ magazine with a nice Hoth Luke:

…and later in the day the postie delivered my copy of ‘Wolverine/Doop’ #1:

…and I was able to read the whole story, and  it’s a cool little noirish, pulpy X-Men story with great art, about a stolen mink, that may have a connection with a mystery woman and maybe poisoning Wolverine and Doop, driving them insane and delusion…and the ’M*A*R*Y*’ download email arrived in my inbox, although I haven’t had time to listen to it yet…and I did today’s G2 Crossword:

…and Wednesday’s crossword went super well, almost perfectly! As we only had to cheat on 4.17% of the clues (one out of 24). I guess this morning’s walk invigorated the little grey cells, as through powered through the more difficult clues, like ‘spokes’, before the walk we had no idea, after we got the first letter, ‘R’, from an intersecting word, and it was an easy stroll to ‘radii’. We were only let down by our poor lack of knowledge of foreign currency, so we didn’t get ‘Agora’ from ‘one hundredth of an Israeli shekel’…
