A quiet day today, but I did read ‘The List’ and finish the ‘The Drop & The List’:
…’The List’ is the second short story set in the Slough House/Slow Horse universe, which picks up where the first short story end. John Bachelor’s life is even further down the drain, Hannah’s life as a triple-agent is knocked up a gear and we meet the latest Slow Horse, Alec Wicinski, and witness his downfall and entry in Slow Horsesness. This is a really nice short story that packs in a lot of intrigue, spy-craft and reflections on growing older and how it affects us and how we handle it and the tribulations that it throws up. 9/10.
